John Prejean – Founder and CEO

With a pioneering spirit and a keen eye for innovation, John founded Guardian Computer in 1996. He was driven by a mission to deliver no-nonsense IT solutions that foster trust and build lasting relationships. His vision was clear: to revolutionize the IT landscape with services that meet businesses' technical needs and emphasize the importance of connectivity and reliability.

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in 1989. His expertise is focused on IT project management, systems architecture, and HIPAA auditing and compliance. John has become a beacon of knowledge in network security, system and software integration, and business process automation. He is actively involved in strategic planning, operations, and the meticulous deployment of IT initiatives, ensuring that each project aligns with the company’s core values of reliability and relationship-building.

Outside the office, John’s life is rich with personal passions. He is an avid softball player and a devoted family man, and he enjoys relaxing weekends with his loyal dog, Roxy. These pursuits underline the balance John maintains between his professional excellence and personal happiness, making him a respected IT industry leader and a relatable and grounded individual.

Jean Prejean – President

Jean has been with Guardian Computer since its beginning, bringing a pioneering spirit and clear vision. She holds a Bachelor of Science from LSU and brings a decade of IT experience from Chevron Corp to the IT consulting business.

Under Jean’s leadership, Guardian Computer thrived, driven by her business planning, financial management, and strategic technology expertise. Her skills are further recognized by her certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), enhancing the company’s information security and auditing services. Jean is active in the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She also participated in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.

Outside of work, Jean enjoys traveling and perfecting old family recipes.

Wayne Speziale – Director of Operations

Wayne brings over two decades of experience in the technology sector. He has been an integral part of Guardian Computer since 2020. Wayne merges his deep-seated passion for technology with his dedication to operational excellence.

Before his tenure at Guardian Computer, Wayne was the National Director of Operations at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers for 22 years. Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of New Orleans, complemented by technical certifications, including CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Outside his professional life, Wayne is a family man. He enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and their dog, Dixie. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, and playing softball.

Jeremy Wirtz – Senior Systems Engineer

Jeremy has 11 years of experience in network infrastructure and cloud services. His professional journey began with a distinguished tenure in the Navy. He earned an Associate Degree in Science and Computer Networking Systems from ITT Technical Institute and technical certifications, including Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching, Cisco CCNA Wireless, and Cisco CCNA Security.

Before joining Guardian Computer, Jeremy was a Systems Analyst in a statewide school district, gaining desktop and networking experience.

Jeremy's contributions have been instrumental in expanding Guardian Computer's client base and reputation, especially in the healthcare sector. His approach to IT solutions is holistic, considering the impact on end-users while ensuring the highest security and efficiency standards.

Outside of his professional life, Jeremy is a fervent football fan. He enjoys attending music festivals and the challenge of strategy-based video games and board games.

Peggy Perez – Finance Manager

At Guardian, Peggy is responsible for handling the intricacies of the financial aspects, supply chain dynamics, ordering processes, and inventory management. With a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana University, Peggy brings a unique skill set to her role. She applies her meticulous, analytical, and systematic approach to Guardian's operations.

Certified as a Registered Pharmacist and proficient in HIPAA compliance, Peggy ensures the integrity and privacy of client information. Since joining the team in May 2019, she has revolutionized how Guardian handles billing, ordering, and inventory, developing robust systems that maintain efficiency despite challenges such as supply chain disruptions caused by COVID-19.

Away from work, she maintains an active lifestyle through yoga and volleyball and enjoys spending time with Rain, her rescue boxer.

Will Jenkins - Systems EngineeR

Before joining Guardian Computer, Will Jenkins spent 23 years at New Horizons IT training company. As a Network Systems Engineer, he specialized in designing, implementing, and managing complex network systems, Windows Server Administration, and Azure Cloud Management. His role also involved training and mentoring others in these areas, showcasing his expertise in customer service, project management, and technical strategic planning.

Will holds CompTIA Network+, A+, Security+, and Microsoft Certified Professional certifications. He studied Psychology and Law Enforcement at Northern Kentucky University.

At Guardian Computer, Will is recognized for his technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and ability to connect with clients and colleagues. His blend of professional skills and personal interests makes him a valuable team member and a trusted advisor.

Outside of work, Will enjoys listening to podcasts and supporting his son's artistic pursuits, often visiting art supply stores and exhibits together.

Ryan Prejean – SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR

Ryan Prejean is a central figure in maintaining the interconnectivity and efficiency of Guardian Computer's computing systems. Ryan has a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science from Tulane University and is certified as a Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate.

Ryan’s integration skills have enabled GC to seamlessly integrate our XDR solution, client system, and remote monitoring and management in a state-of-the-art hub. This integration provides us with comprehensive monitoring capabilities and immediate access to system data. He also plays a crucial role on the help desk team, ensuring our systems are reliable, efficient, and secure.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys a laid-back lifestyle. He is an enthusiastic chess player and cook. In his leisure time, you might find him reading a sci-fi book or relaxing with his rescue cats, Joel and Seamus.

David Neil – Senior IT Support Specialist

David Neil brings technical expertise and outstanding customer service to Guardian Computer. He holds an Associate Degree in Information Technology from Delgado Community College and certifications including HDI Support Center Analyst (HDI-SCA) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Before joining the Guardian Computer team, David was a Help Desk Specialist for LCMC Health.

As a Senior IT Support Specialist at GC, David specializes in data backup and recovery strategies, project management, and security solutions.

David's interest in IT started with a simple project: building his computer using YouTube tutorials. He is dedicated to professional development, pursuing further cybersecurity training through programs, including an initiative partnered with the FBI for information sharing and analysis.

Outside work, David enjoys gaming and attending music festivals and concerts.

Byron Chance - Senior IT Support Specialist

Byron is a Senior IT Support Specialist at Guardian Computer with expertise in network engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music from Loyola University New Orleans. Transitioning to an apprentice Network Engineer, Byron focuses on network security measures, firewalls, encryption protocols, and remote connectivity solutions. He excels in configuring and installing network equipment and staying current with the latest technologies.

Byron provides comprehensive IT support, manages clients' Microsoft Azure environments, and oversees client interactions via the RingCentral phone system.

Outside of work, Byron is a musician, playing in a band and mastering multiple instruments. He combines his personal interests with his professional skills, continually expanding in the evolving IT field.

Noah Billeaud-Lehotsky - IT Support Specialist

Noah, a Marine Corps veteran turned IT Support Specialist, brings a wealth of expertise and a disciplined approach to Guardian Computer. With certifications including Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, HIPAA Compliance, and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Noah excels in end-user support and systems configuration and has extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT).

In his role, Noah provides exceptional help desk support, including troubleshooting technical issues, guiding users through system setups, and ensuring seamless operation of IT services. He is skilled in diagnosing hardware and software problems, implementing effective solutions, and maintaining system security. Noah also excels in user training and documentation, helping clients maximize the use of their technology.

Outside of work, Noah is passionate about Nerf blasters and serves as a Louisiana Blaster League board member, showcasing his love for strategy, competition, and fun. His transition from military service to IT support is driven by a steadfast commitment to leveraging technology to solve complex challenges and enhance user experiences.

Vinny Speziale – IT Support Intern

A recent Brother Martin High School graduate, Vinny has been a valuable summer intern at Guardian Computer since 2022. With a strong interest in technology, Vinny quickly adapted to IT support, demonstrating technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication.

During his internships, Vinny successfully handled support calls and system troubleshooting, showcasing his strong work ethic and quick learning capabilities. His readiness for new challenges is evident in his performance and eagerness to grow.

Outside of work, Vinny leads an active lifestyle, balancing his studies with various sports, including pole vaulting, where he earned a spot in the state championship two years in a row.

As he prepares for his next chapter at Louisiana State University, we are confident he will continue to excel and make a significant impact in his academic and professional pursuits.
